Andover Campus Summer Dance Performance: “Noughties to Now” Captivates Audiences

The Andover Campus summer dance sell-out performance, Noughties to Now, captivated audiences with the extraordinary talent of its students. This year’s show, held at The Lights Theatre, showcased the dedication and hard work of both students and staff, highlighting the exceptional ability, expertise, and passion fostered by the Creative and Performing Arts team.

After five weeks of intense rehearsals, students took to the stage at The Lights, a vibrant local cultural hub. The venue provided the perfect setting for an impressive programme of comedy, theatre, and dance, offering students the invaluable opportunity to perform before larger audiences, further enhancing their performing arts experience.

The 2025 show was a celebration of the last 25 years of music, featuring dance routines set to some of the most popular hits from the past two decades. The themes were seamlessly integrated into the costumes, stage design, and overall production, bringing each iconic song to life. From the upbeat energy of the noughties to the contemporary styles of today, there was something for everyone.

Dance Lecturer and Founder of Andover Youth Dance Company (AYDC), Alicia Barnett, said: “Our annual end-of-year dance show, themed Noughties to Now, was a great success, with diverse dance styles and impressive professionalism on display. The students worked incredibly hard to create an outstanding performance that they should be very proud of—and so am I.”

The show received fantastic feedback from the audience, who thoroughly enjoyed its interactive element, guessing the year of each song in the programme.

Congratulations to everyone involved in this year’s fantastic Summer Dance Show from all of us at Andover Campus.
