Dance at Andover involves exciting performance opportunities to broaden your knowledge and become a versatile performer, with routes into professional establishments such as Italia Conti, ShockOut Arts, Brighton Academy, Performers College and many more. As well as the diverse styles on offer including contemporary, lyrical, hip hop, commercial, jazz, musical theatre and afro to name a few, you’ll benefit from individual audition preparation and lots of support.

Our students rehearse and perform in two specialised on-site dance studios as well as other local venues. Industry-relevant learning includes:

• Attending MOVE IT – the biggest dance event in the UK – and various musicals
• Professional workshops at Base, Pineapple and The Manor studios and work placements with a range of dance companies
• Performing in dance shows plus other local events, competitions, the Christmas pantomime and end-of-year musical
• Topics such as understanding the industry, marketing of dance, business and budgeting in dance, how to create a full-scale production in dance, how to create your own company and many other transferable skills.

Andover students have progressed into roles such as teaching at dance schools and colleges, dancing at Disneyland Paris (characters and parade), backing dancing or music videos and marketing.
