Jon Marlow, Electrical Lecturer
Starting my apprenticeship in the electrical industry in the early '90s, I knew I wanted to learn a trade, not sit in a classroom. Over five years, with the guidance of my mentor Ken, I gained hands-on experience that made the theory click. Fast forward, and I’ve worked my way up to contracts manager, started my own business, and now, I’m training the next generation of apprentices. If you’re considering becoming an electrician, I highly recommend it. It’s a rewarding career with endless opportunities, no student debt, and a trade for life.
