Distance learning day
Student Update: Distance Learning Day (Wednesday 1 February 2023)
We have been notified of intended industrial action on 1 February by the rail unions and by the NEU in the school sector. Whilst the NEU strike does not involve college staff, we anticipate that there is likely to be significant impact on some students and staff on this day. Accordingly, to ensure that all lessons planned can be fully delivered, we have decided to designate Wednesday 1 February as a Student Distance Learning Day.
Your class lecturers will contact you over the next few days to confirm online lesson arrangements. If for any reason that you are unable to participate in online lessons, please do let your lecturer know and they will support you with directed learning.
At Andover campus a small number of AAT exams and Functional Skills exams are scheduled, which will still go ahead. Learners involved in these scheduled exams will be contacted directly to reassure that exams will be conducted on this date without impact.
We thank you for your understanding regarding this one-day change to online delivery. Should you wish to discuss arrangements for the 1 February further, please contact your Progress Coach who will be happy to provide assistance.
