Andover College students Performed Dick Whittington at The Lights
Andover College’s Performing Arts department showcased their talents in the Christmas performance of Dick Whittington, which was performed at The Lights, Andover on Tuesday 10 and Wednesday 11 December.
The annual pantomime is an event all those at the college look forward to each year. Students had been intensively rehearsing for the performance which brings many of the college’s departments together to work on the show. The Performing Arts, Music and Dance students worked together on various parts of the performance and Stage Management students oversaw control of the set design, lighting and sound for each of the shows.
Panto is a poignant part of each academic year, bringing all aspects of Andover College’s creative and performing departments together. The annual showcase of talent, fun and festivity is a firm favourite across the college community.
Stacy Hopkins, Performing Arts Lecturer said:
“It has been another fabulous pantomime again this year which showcases the hard work and talent of our learners within the department. Directed by Dan Huckle and Choreographed by Alicia Barnett, the production has been enjoyed by almost sell out audiences and gives the learners the opportunity to explore this much-loved performance style in a highly vocational setting.”
