Andover College reach new heights for Comic Relief

In support of Comic Relief, who are celebrating their 40th anniversary this year, staff and students from Andover College are reaching new heights as they climb the 02 Arena on their mission to raise £500 for the cause.

Comic Relief is dedicated to uplifting individuals and communities facing poverty and injustice, both in the UK and around the world.

On Wednesday 19 March, the team will embark on their climb as they scale the 02 Arena raising money for and awareness of the incredible projects and organisations who make a difference to those who need it most.

Back on campus, on Friday 21 March, Red Nose Day celebrations will be in full swing with staff and students invited to engage in activities for Comic Relief. From bake sales and hair tinsel to wellbeing checks and a football competition there will be plenty of opportunities for fundraising.

Rachel Cox, Health and Social Care lecturer said: “Every donation, no matter how small, can create a ripple effect of change. Your generosity could help provide shelter for someone without a home, ensure that families have food on their tables, stock baby banks with essential supplies, or offer a listening ear to those who feel alone. Together, we can make a significant impact in the lives of many who are struggling. Please consider supporting our climb by donating today; your contribution will help bring hope and support to those who need it most.”

A huge well done and good luck to The Dream Team ahead of your big climb and a reminder to everyone to join us on Friday 21st March between 1-2:30pm outside of sixth form for lots of fundraising fun!
