Andover Campus take the stage for their summer performance of Oliver!
Andover Campus Performing Arts department showcased their talents in the summer performance of Oliver the musical, in the college’s 1803 Theatre, Andover on Wednesday 24th, Thursday 25th and Friday 26th May.
The Andover Campus production of Lionel Barts classic, Oliver! was an event that all those at the college look forward, a sign that summer is just around the corner and a chance to relax and support those taking part in the wonderful showcase. Students had been intensively rehearsing for the performance which brings many of the college’s departments together to work on the show. The Performing Arts, Music and Dance students worked together on various parts of the performance and Stage Management students oversaw control of the set design, lighting and sound for each of the shows. A truly remarkable collaborative effort to achieve yet another production we are proud to celebrate.
Dan Huckle, Production Arts Lecturer and Director says,
“This is my first time directing the annual musical here at Andover College, and it has been a wonderful and pleasurable experience. As someone who has a professional performing background and still currently works within the production industry, I have been able to combine my love of both aspects of the industry and pulling them together with the support of the students and fellow staff. Over the years, stemming from my time as a student, starting in Performing Arts, the courses and level of productions have grown into what you see today, always trying to push what we can do in our very own 1803 Theatre”.
Well done to all those involved in this year’s fantastic production from all of us at Andover Campus.
