Software Development – Foundation Programme -T Level
This Level 2 foundation programme is designed for you to progress onto the Level 3 T Level in Digital Software Development
You will develop your technical IT and Computing skills alongside communication and employability skills. This exciting new course will cover areas such as Cyber Security, Data Analysis, Essentials of IT, Programming Fundamentals and Projects, Career Planning, Revision and Exam Skills.
Assessed mandatory units:
- Essentials of IT
- Essentials of cyber security.
- Using data analysis
Assessment is split into two main components:
- Coursework
- Exam
Grades awarded: Pass, Merit, Distinction, or Distinction*
- T Level Software Development
- T level Business
The qualification will enable learners to acquire a range of transferable skills and knowledge which are highly regarded by employers. This qualification will lead to job roles which include: Digital Administrator, Digital Marketing Assistant and Junior Business Analyst, IT Support
The T-level qualification provides ample opportunities to experience different work settings through the industry work placement element of the course.
The College has heavily invested into its digital resources allowing learners to access high performing computers and other devices. There is ongoing investment into virtual reality. The College has its own computing laboratory allowing learners to explore areas such as cyber security.
