If you’re interested in the skilled and rewarding world of early years education, our courses include vital work experience placements, perfect for students wanting to work with children in different placement settings.

Our Early Years Education training facility is a realistic childcare setting with all the space and equipment needed for real-world learning, from planning activities to learning care routines such as making a milk bottle for a baby. Industry-relevant learning includes:

  • Excellent relationships with local schools and nurseries
  • Guest speakers including early years professionals, social worker, forest school and night nanny
  • Industry placements in real early years settings, working directly with children
  • Opportunities to plan and deliver own activities on placement

Andover students are influencing learning in a range of areas, such as working in an early years setting anywhere in the world, as childminders
or nannies, learning support/teaching assistants, specialist roles e.g. SENDCO or progressing to further study at university in fields such as teaching and social work.
