Dance

Dance at Andover College is known for its diverse variety of styles and professional workshops. The dancers learn and choreograph routines throughout the year for two dance shows, other local events, competitions and also take part in the Christmas Pantomime and end of year Musical.

The styles explored on our course are;

Commercial
Indian
African
Musical Theatre
Ballet Foundations

We train each dancer through a range of technique and flexibility classes and also work towards audition preparation for higher education or work within the performing arts industry.

Dance and Performing Arts

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Andover College and owe a lot to Alicia, Dan, and the other lecturers in the department for pushing me and helping me grow as a performer I received 7 offers for a combination of drama schools and universities this year, 3 of which were unconditional. This is something I wouldn't have been able to do without the knowledge I gained from the department. After completing my Musical Theatre degree at the International College of Musical Theatre (a London drama school which accepted 22 students this year), I am aiming to perform on some of the biggest stages, and teach the next generation of performers.
