SPARSHOLT COLLEGE GROUP LAUNCHES THE ANDOVER CERTIFICATE

Sparsholt College Group is excited to launch the brand new Andover Certificate, an exciting new student programme designed to recognise and reward the positive commitment and dedication of students, at Andover campus throughout their college journey. 

Students studying at Andover have a wealth of opportunities available to them, including the use of fantastic facilities, connections with key employers, industry links, and expert-led practical lessons. The Andover Certificate aims to reward students who take part in the exciting enrichment activities on offer and demonstrate strong commitment to college and their studies. 

To be eligible for the Certificate, students are required to complete a variety of award components. This includes engaging with the college’s Study+ enrichment programme, demonstrating strong attendance and engagement across their programme of study, and completing their online Digital Passport learning package which covers a range of topics related to careers, employment and contributing positively to wider society. 

The Study+ enrichment programme offers a range of exciting societies for students to take part in alongside their studies, opportunities to have their say at the student council, assembly and government meetings and other activities held across campus and in the wider community. 

Students who are awarded the Andover Certificate will also receive a personal reference from a member of the College Group’s Strategic Leadership Team that can be used alongside CVs and personal statements for university and job applications, helping students take their next step in to higher education or employment. 

Rob Price, Head of Learning and Quality at Sparsholt College Group, has helped spearhead the new initiative, commenting “Staff have been working hard behind the scenes to develop and implement a way in which we can recognise the achievements of those in our student community. We encourage all students to strive to attain their Andover Certificate to recognise all of the effort they put into their studies and their broader personal development.”
