Met Office Red Weather Alert Student Updates – June 2026

Move to Online Learning Wednesday 24th-Thursday 25th June

We are writing to let you know that, due to the red weather warning declared by the Met Office for Andover this week, the College has reluctantly taken the decision to move learning online for Wednesday and Thursday.

This decision has been made to help keep students and staff safe during the period of exceptional heat and humidity forecast. We know this may be frustrating and that some of you will have planned to be on site this week, but your safety and wellbeing must remain our first priority.

Your teachers will let you know what you need to do for each lesson, including any online sessions, independent study tasks or work to complete. Please check your College email and Teams regularly and make sure you engage with the learning that has been set for you each day.

Please come in tomorrow for the UCAS event and early enrolment alongside any lessons which will continue. If you have a scheduled assessment tomorrow, Tuesday 23rd June, you should come into College as normal for that assessment.

Thank you for your understanding and for continuing to engage positively with your learning during this temporary move online.

Have a good summer break when it arrives.

Yours sincerely,

Ben Stokes – Vice Principal
