Andover College Is Matrix Accredited For A Further Three Years

Good News! The College is Matrix accredited for a further three years.

An essential Kitemark for the College’s status with its Further Education funding bodies, the Matrix assessor delivered us a positive verdict.

In his feedback, the assessor commended the passion and team work that was evident from the members of staff that he spoke with during the past week. He further emphasised the positives of the supportiveness of students that pervades the organisation and some great examples of innovation, notably on the VLE and with the impending roll out of WamEdu App for students and staff. The main area for improvement was that he considered that it was time to overhaul our student feedback mechanisms in order to make them more useful and effective.

Martin Simmons, Vice Principal, said: “I am extremely grateful to everyone who has helped the College achieve this Standard. Everyone has pulled together in what is a difficult time for the College, and I am particularly grateful to Lynn Nicholls and Helen Fereday for spearheading the organisation of the week and to Paul Daniel who was an invaluable anchor in holding things together.”
