Advanced Welder Fabricator Apprenticeship Opportunity

Prestigious equipment manufacturer J & J Conversions Ltd is one of the largest manufacturers of recovery vehicles and equipment in the country. In their purpose-built factory complex filled with cutting-edge tooling and equipment they even boast a VOSA inspection lane meaning they can carry out Individual Vehicle Approval on their bespoke builds. They have a design and engineering department right next to the workshop where they can produce a 3D CAD drawing which will take shape on site.

The company was founded in 1987 and has prided itself on maintaining a skilled staff team with exceptionally low turnover, this means that they have a lot of expertise they are keen to hand on to the next generation of Welder Fabricator Apprentices. And this is where the Sparsholt College Group’s Apprenticeship Team has stepped in to help. Harriet Guy, their Health & Safety Manager is keen to recruit an apprentice to learn the ropes:

“It’s a tough job but with so many rewards for the person with the right attitude and willingness to learn. The right candidate might be from a vehicle body or coach building background already or they might equally be ready to progress from a different role. What a Welding Fabricator Apprentice joining J & J Conversions will need to bring is the ambition to learn, progress and a keen eye for detail.

“All our Fabricators take a huge pride in what they do and have the unique opportunity to see a project from start to finish and out on to the road. An apprentice will be able to add to their experience and CV by gaining forklift and MEEP tickets as part of their role and as they learn and progress this will be reflected in their salary straight away. We are excited about taking on the next generation to take J & J into the future.”
