Andover College Sports Maker inspires students to take up Olympic fitness challenge

Last week marked the 100 day countdown until the Rio Olympic and Paralympic Games. To celebrate this, the College’s Sports Maker and Team ‘Active Andover’ launched an Olympic themed fitness challenge for both staff and students -Challenge 2016.

Signing up in teams, each team must cover a total distance of 201.6 kilometres (125 miles) using the provided cardio equipment in Andover’s Leisure Centre or other local gym or own personal equipment. Teams can consist of a minimum of 2 people, with a maximum of 4 and all team members must participate.

The challenge is open NOW and will run through until Friday 27th May. The team who completes the distance in the shortest amount of time will receive the gold prize, with 2nd and 3rd place also rewarded for their efforts. All entrants of Challenge 2016 will receive an Olympic –themed certificate issued by Andover College Sports Department.
