Functional English and Maths classes

NEW fully funded (that means free!) English and Maths classes.

Due to popular demand you can now attend our Functional Skills classes in English and Maths during the day – starting January 2020. These classes are designed for anybody who needs their Maths and/or English Functional Skills qualification.

The Functional Skills qualification is the equivalent to a GCSE and is accepted by employers and universities. 

So if you’ve been putting off coming to college now is your chance to kick out those gremlins and move forward in your life and work!

Eligibility

If you have below a grade D/3 O Level or GCSE then you are eligible for the course.

If you have a D/3 O Level or GCSE or above, you can take our Foundation skills course.

Qualification

You can enter functional skills starts at Entry Level 1 or 2. You will gain a recognisable City & Guilds qualification on successful completion of this course.

What can I do after?

With your functional skills Maths and English you have your foundation. You can now progress on to an Access to Higher Education course and University.

Our friendly team of staff will get back to you with a date for you to come in for an assessment. You will also fill out an application form at your assessment and our team will be on hand to support you through the whole process.

Once you are all set up, you will be given your start date which will be around January time.
