It is suitable for a wide range of roles, healthcare assistants, hospital porters, emergency care assistants, and other future careers in health-related positions.

This certificate is considered a core requirement for anyone pursuing a career in the health sector.

As part of the course you will work through six unit which are assessed through a range of methods such as leaflets, posters. Written reports and portfolio building

 

Potential progression to a level 3 Health and Social Care course, apprenticeships work based learning courses and being work ready for a health care support worker role out in industry

 

Through the year guest speakers provide workshops and there are off-site visits to local care providers to give you an insight into a variety of different Health and Social Care settings.

 

You will learn in our Professions Building, featuring state-of-the-art mock wards, an immersive suite, and dedicated student areas for both study and socialising.

As part of our Level 2 Certificate programme, all students will complete a work placement in a health/social care environment near the end of their course for one week and there will be group tutorial sessions throughout the year, in order to complete portfolios.
