Site Carpentry – Level 3 Diploma
This advanced programme is designed to elevate your carpentry skills to a recognised Trade Standard, equipping you with the expertise needed to thrive in a real-world construction environment. Focusing on advanced Site Carpentry, the course prepares you for undertaking complex construction projects with confidence and precision.
Throughout the course, you will build a comprehensive portfolio of evidence showcasing your skills and achievements. You will also be expected to secure relevant work experience, enabling you to apply your learning in a professional setting and meet the assessment criteria. This hands-on, industry-focused training ensures you’re job-ready and aligned with the demands of modern construction sites.
Throughout this advanced Site Carpentry course, you will gain practical, hands-on experience and develop the following key skills:

By the end of this course, you’ll be equipped with both the technical expertise and business acumen needed to take your carpentry career to the next level.
Practical assessment and theory examinations.
Completion of the course will give you an in depth understanding of Carpentry and will be necessary for becoming a Foreman or Junior Site Agent
PPE outlay, and general stationery.
As part of a full time study programme, you will be eligible for the college Study+ programme, plus on course enrichment such as site visits and industry engagement
Our £3.9 million Technology & Future Skills Centre opened in September 2016. The modern two storey building provides the best teaching and workshop space for our Bricklaying, Motor Vehicle and Electrical and Carpentry courses. Further investment has resulted in a recent extension due to open as of summer 2025.
