The Foundation Business T Level will give you valuable hands-on experience within business. You will cover theory behind management and administration processes and this knowledge will allow you to excel in your placement and any future business study. Passing this course will gain you a Level 2 certificate and provide you with the opportunity to progress on to the Business Management and Administration T Level.

Five GCSEs at 9-3 including Maths and English Language. 

 

Embark on an engaging educational journey that equips you with the essential skills and knowledge required for a gratifying career in Business Leadership or Management. This innovative two-year technical study program, part of our T Level offerings, has been collaboratively designed in consultation with global, national, and local businesses to encompass specialised content crucial in the business sector.

In the first year of study, your studies will cover:

  • Business context – Exploring various types of organisations and the environments influencing their operations.
  • People management – Examining how different organisations ensure they have the right individuals to meet their objectives.
  • Quality and compliance – Emphasising the significance of maintaining and enhancing quality across all organisational aspects.
  • Finance and financial reporting.
  • Policies and procedures – Delving into the development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), their measurement, and their impact on individual roles.
  • Project and change management – Addressing the need for continuous improvement.
  • Business behaviours – Emphasising effective communication and adaptability.

This foundational knowledge will pave the way for specialisation in Leadership and Management during your second year.

 

Throughout the two-year duration, a diverse range of assessment methods will be employed, including exams, an industrial placement, employer projects, and synoptic assessments. The high-quality industry placement offers an invaluable opportunity to closely collaborate with a prominent employer on a weekly or block placement basis, advancing the development of pertinent knowledge, technical skills, and professional behaviours for success in the evolving sector.

 

Upon successful completion of the Leadership and Management specialisation, you will be equipped to:

  • Lead, manage, and develop individuals and teams to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Cultivate relationships with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Execute core operational tasks and plans.
  • Manage and implement projects.
  • Apply governance and compliance requirements.

Post Business & Management T Level, diverse pathways await your exploration, including progression to a higher-level Apprenticeship, Higher Education study, or employment in roles such as supervisor, manager, executive assistant, or team leader. The program sets the stage for a dynamic and fulfilling professional journey.

 

Trips vary from international destinations such as Washington DC and New York and also locally to Stannah, Britax and Universities 

 

You will be taught in our Andover Sixth building and will have access to many different facilities, including: 2 study centres, a Library, and a canteen.
