The importance of the Healthcare profession has never been as prominent as it is now. The Department for Health & Social Care are looking to increase the number of nurses in the NHS. Andover College delivers T level Health with the Adult Nursing specialism and will be introducing Mental health pathway in Sept 25
Over the duration of the two-year course, you will learn the knowledge and skills required to become a successful practitioner in either Adult or mental heath field of practice . Alongside this, you will undertake a work placement in each year to help you understand the role of a nurse within a real-life setting.
This is an exciting course that balances classroom-based learning, work placement and access to excellent facilities so that our learners have all the opportunities they need to develop their potential as a nurse.
At the end of year one, you will have the opportunity to choose your specialism Adult Nursing/ or the mental health pathway

In your second year you will have the opportunity to choose one of the two following specialisms:
A cutting-edge qualification for those committed to a career in Adult nursing. Combining classroom learning with placements in healthcare settings, this specialism prepares students for direct progression into nursing degrees or apprenticeships.
A cutting-edge qualification for those committed to a career in mental health nursing. Combining classroom learning with placements in healthcare settings, this specialism prepares students for direct progression into nursing degrees or apprenticeships.
Assessment will come in different forms. In some instances, you will undertake exams to test core skills whilst practical skills test will help assess your occupational specialism. With T-levels, your work placement employer will also help by ensuring you cover key areas within your placement which will help prepare you for assessments.
The T-level helps prepare learners to enter the industry through employment or as an apprentice. It also gives learners the opportunity to progress to higher education courses and training. Whilst the T-level focuses on Adult Nursing, there is scope to progress into other nursing specialisms.
The T-level qualification provides ample opportunities to experience different work settings through the industry work placement element of the course.
The College collaborates with a local university to access their state-of-the-art facilities including a virtual environment. Onsite, students have access to a mock ward and domestic settings which allow them to learn in a real life setting and practice key skills essential to Nursing.
