What will I learn?
This course provides an insight into the theory and practical aspects of all hairdressing skills and related topics allowing progression into workplace at a junior level. You will be directed to either the certificate or diploma dependent on previous experience and qualifications held. This course can also be taken on an Apprenticeship route.
The qualification covers 8 mandatory units which will develop their knowledge and understanding of anatomy and physiology, health and safety and legislation requirements. They will also provide a range of cutting colouring and styling services and develop communication, customer service, problem solving and research skills.

This course offers you the opportunity to enter competitions and shows, attend study trips to industry shows and a trip to a spa. We offer a wide range of other optional activities such as ear-piercing, tanning, hair up and extensions.
What grades will I need?
• Four GCSE at A*-D/9-3 (including English Maths and/or Science)
• Level 1 Hairdressing
