The NCFE Early Years – Caring for Children – Level 1 Diploma course offers you an introduction into understanding the care and development needed to help a child grow and learn. It will provide a starting point for you to explore the benefits of Early Years practice, whilst allowing you to improve your numeracy and literacy skills. 

You will have to be committed to your college work to succeed on this course. You will have to show a professional interest in working with children, and be prepared to learn new skills to prepare you for your next stage in early years. 

Three GCSEs at grade 1 or above, including English and Maths. 

 

You will learn about the development of children, how to communicate, and ways to boost their confidence through age appropriate activities. 

 

You will cover 14 units which all need to be passed to achieve the Level 1. 

 

CACHE Level 2 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner

You will be taught in our Andover Sixth building and will have access to many different facilities, including: 2 study centres, a Library, A canteen and the Careers Hub.
