What will I learn?

This course, taught as a mixture of theory and practical sessions, provides the basic skills needed in a dog grooming salon for newcomers to the dog grooming industry. Students will learn skills to assist stylists confidently.

Courses take place one day per week (day dependant on intake start date), term time only.

Where will it lead me?

Leading to the C&G LBS (formerly NPTC) Level 2 Certificate for Dog Grooming Assistants.

Following successful completion of the City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate for Dog Grooming Assistants, students may apply for the Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming course.

Entry Requirements

Subject to interview.

All applicants will be required to attend an interview, and once an offer of a place has been made to you, a 10% deposit will be payable via our college on line store to confirm your place on the course.
For our fee remitted students, this deposit will be refunded once you have successfully completed a term of study with us.

Will be unable to apply for fee remission and may be subject to higher course fees than those published.

Free if aged 19+ and unemployed or have a gross salary income (excl benefits) below £25,000*

*19+ on 31/8 in academic year course starts. Includes those who are employed or self-employed.
