Dance – UAL Level 3 Diploma/ Extended Diploma
This course involves exciting practical lessons where you can broaden your knowledge in dance and become a versatile performer. Our students here at the college enjoy being part of the dance course due to the large amount of performance opportunities and the support to develop into a well rounded dancer which helps them get into many dance schools such as Italia Conti, ShockOut Arts, Brighton Academy, Performers College and many more. Our dance course stands out from others in the area due to the diverse styles you will learn which includes contemporary, lyrical, hiphop, commercial, jazz, musical theatre, afro and more! We also offer audition prep 1-1’s and any extra support with your journey into the dance industry or next level of education.
In year one you will gain a BTEC Level 3 National Foundation Diploma in Dance (equivalent to 1 and a 1/2 A Levels).
In year two you will gain a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Dance (equivalent to 3 full A Levels).

You will go various trips, including: Disneyland Paris and West End London, We also host workshops with professionals, guest speakers and touring of competitions. There are also professional Workshops at Base, Pineapple and The Manor as well as the opportunity to partake in musicals.
You can join a competition team that works closely with the college Enrichment sessions in dance and musical theatre every Wednesday.
You will rehearse and perform in our very own 100 seat theatre, drama studios and mirrored dance studio. We are also located on the doorstep of the Lights Theatre which plays host to numerous productions and our annual Arts Festival.
