What will I learn?

This course is for those who want to begin to learn how to groom their own pet dogs, or are considering a change of career and want a taster session.
For this fully practical course, you will bring your own dog and learn about choice and use of equipment, and grooming skills relevant to your dog.

Activities will include brushing out, bathing, drying, nail clipping and ear cleaning.

All courses run on a Saturday, 9:30am-3pm.

Entry Requirements

Your dog will need to have sufficient hair growth and ideally would have been groomed before. Please check with your current groomer what they do so that we can begin to teach you how to achieve this.

If the dog has not previously been professionally groomed this may impact your progress as dogs can behave differently in a grooming environment. Grooming skills for your dog will depend on your dogs coat and it’s behaviour.

As you will be bringing your own dog, please ensure you have an up-to-date vaccination card; please bring this with you on the day.

Please note we do not accept dogs in season in the Salon – please consider this when booking course dates as refunds will not be issued outside of the standard terms and conditions.
