The Business course is taught over two years. The Certificate offers an introduction to a vocational sector through applied learning of topics such as Marketing, Legal Structures and importance of Enterprise within an economy. The course supports progression to Higher Education or for learners who wish to enrol on an Apprenticeship. A passion for Enterprise would be complementary.

Five GCSEs at grade 9-4 including English and Maths. BTEC Level 2 qualifications considered in subject related courses.  

 

The course is delivered by staff with industry experience, in the classroom and study centres. In addition, visits, speakers and practical activities help to simulate real life business environments.  

This course is split into two years. On Completion of year one, you will receive a certificate in Business (equivalent to an AS Level). On completion of year two, you will receive an Extended Certificate in Business (equivalent to an A Level).

  • Exploring Business
  • Developing a Marketing Campaign
  • Personal and Business Finance
  • Optional Unit

In the current, dynamic business climate, students are required by employers and universities to possess the right blend of technical and academic skills. These desirable skills enable students to become highly skilled, work-ready individuals with a bright future in any business environment or setting, such as an apprenticeship, Higher Education or into employment. 

Trips vary from international destinations such as Washington DC and New York and also locally to Stannah, Britax and Universities 

 

You will be taught in our Andover Sixth building and will have access to many different facilities, including: 2 study centres, a Library, A canteen and the Careers Hub.
