Thinking about a career working with children and young people? Whether you aspire to become a teacher, teaching assistant, SEN support worker, youth worker or education professional, this course will help you take the first step. You’ll develop the knowledge, practical skills and confidence needed to progress into further study, apprenticeships or a rewarding career in the education sector.

This V Level in education is practical: you’ll spend real time in schools and settings, not just reading about them.

Students on our current education courses tell us the work experience is the highlight, especially the moment a child finally understands something because of how they explained it. Alongside that, you’ll study how children learn and develop, which most people find fascinating.

Our staff have taught in schools themselves, we have strong links with local schools and settings, and you can go on to university, an apprenticeship or straight into work.

Five GCSE’s from 4-9. Including Maths and English at a grade 4.

This qualification prepares learners to become Early Years Educators and enable them work with children between birth and 5 years with knowledge of children up to the age seven in a variety of Early Years settings such as nurseries, preschools and as child minders.

A clear route to your next step. Whether you want to go to university, start an apprenticeship or go straight into work with children, the course keeps all three options open.

50% Controlled Assessment and 50% Exam

Lots of trips to local schools, nursery settings and forest schools. A previous trip to Africa, lots of trips to Andover Trees to work with primary aged children.

Great teaching facilities. Alongside our classrooms, we have an on-site training space for Education, where you can practise and build your confidence before going out into settings.
