Performing Arts is a course, which aims to give students an insight into the world of performance training. This course is designed for the student wishing to follow a career path in theatre or entertainment.
The course involves the development in skills in acting, singing and dancing. This course is the first year of a 2 year course which will complete your Extended Diploma – the equivalent of 3 A-Levels. The course will provide you with skills in a variety of performance styles and will also look at the development of these skills as a whole.
You will be supported in preparing for audition situations and the development of application material for the next step in your career following your training on this course.
Acting is a course which will provide students with the opportunity to develop their performance skills in a variety of different performance styles. This course is designed for students who are looking for a career in theatre.
The course involves the development of acting skills and teamwork. The course is the first year of a 2 year course which will finish with a National Extended Certificate in Performing Arts Acting. This is the equivalent of an A Level. This course will provide you with skills in different performance styles and will look at how you can utilise different approaches together.
You will be supported in the development of your skills and preparing for audition material for the next step of your career.
