We’ll see you soon!

Congratulations on accepting your place at Andover College! We’re so excited to meet you and welcome you to our campus to get you settled into this new step in your education.

We have gathered a final few bits of information to help you feel prepared for beginning college next week. We understand that this is an exciting, but daunting, time. So please do feel free to get in touch if you have any questions or concerns between now and then.

next steps

By now, you should have either come to campus and had a face-to-face enrolment or uploaded your GCSE results to our online upload platform.

Your next steps will include finishing your IT Induction from home, before you start college with us. You should have received a letter with how to complete these next steps earlier this week, but please get in touch with our admissions team if you have any further questions.

safety measures on campus

When you arrive on campus you will find that we continue to have numerous safety measures in place to keep our college community safe, such as one-way systems, extra cleaning, hand sanitising. If you’re using College-arranged transport, we ask you to wear a mask/face covering to be able to travel. We are asking students to continue to wear masks on campus in indoor communal spaces such as corridors and in catering outlets prior to taking a seat.  You may also be asked to wear face coverings in some classroom environments at the discretion of our lecturing staff. We will review our safety measures again prior to Half Term in October.

what to expect on your first day

On your first day whether you get public transport, a campus bus, or drive in, you’ll be greeted by the friendly staff at Andover and directed to your meeting point. You’ll spend the day with your tutor getting to know your new classmates and our campus. You’ll also have time to complete your enrolment and collect your Student ID before lessons officially begin on the week commencing September 13.

ARRIVING AT COLLEGE ON TRANSPORT

If you have booked a campus bus pass the bus driver will know you’ll be travelling, and you’ll get your ID badge and pass for future journeys on your first day on campus.
If you have booked a train or bus pass you will need to pay to travel on your first day, and your pass will be ready for collection when you arrive on campus.
