Your personal tutor is your ‘guide by your side’ and will help keep you on track with your studies, as well as helping you to plan life after college. We want you to achieve the best results you can!
If you are under 18 then your tutor will make sure your parents or carers are kept up to date throughout the year.
Maths and English
Our vocational courses include Functional Skills to help you achieve Level 2 Maths and English. We help guide you through basic skills in order to help prepare you for further study or employment. You can also take or re-take GCSEs in Maths and English if this is more suitable.

Are you academically strong, committed to extra-curricular activities or have an outstanding talent/ability? Then why not join our Gifted and Talented Programme? We want to challenge and stimulate you to achieve better results.
We don’t just use ‘prepared for life’ as our strap line, we really believe it. We are focused on making sure you are happy and maintain good levels of health and wellbeing during your time with us.
As part of our dedicated support team, we have friendly and approachable Counsellors who will support you, not only with difficult moments in college, but also in life.
We also call upon external experts to offer you even more help and advice in the lifestyle choices you make. Information is provided on personal finance, personal safety, road safety, poverty, sexual health and healthcare.
Course and Careers Guidance
We provide one-to-one advice and guidance sessions to help you pick the right course for you. We can also help with your college application form, so nothing should be holding you back.
Don’t worry if you haven’t thought about life after college yet! Our specialist Careers Advisor gives impartial advice on potential career options, UCAS applications, work experience, holiday work or financial help.
