The IMI Diploma in Motorsport is a learning programme to meet the current and future needs of the motorsport world. It will appeal to those with a keen interest in the Motorsport Automotive industry looking to work in a related career or progress to university level study. 

You will explore the wide range of motorsport technologies, including looking at motorsport transmission, engine and chassis technology, electrical and electronic systems, event regulations, etc. You will also have the opportunity to join the Andover College Motorsport Race Team and be involved in project building, car setup, race support and competition. 

Minimum of five GCSEs at grade 9–4, including Maths, English and Science or equivalent qualifications.

Year one: Level 2 Diploma  

Year two: Level 3 Diploma 


Assignments, course work, practical and online multiple choice assessments at the end of each unit. 


University level study, employment or Apprenticeship in the Motorsport Industry. 


£30 for Textbook and £25 for overalls 



This will be made up of students who will all have the opportunity to be part of the race/rally team to include project building, car setup and race support. The race team will compete in Tin Tops with the Classic Sports Car Club and rally team in club level tarmac rally events across the south.  


We have a fully equipped motor vehicle workshop complete with a comprehensive range of vehicles, tools and equipment as well as an excellent welding and fabrication facility.
