The Performing Arts course will give you the opportunity to develop skills within the Performing Arts sector. Throughout this course, you will develop both theoretical and practical skills. You will have an introduction into performance skills and learn more about group work, transferable teamwork skills and business development skills. You will cover units such as; Performing Arts businesses, monologue performance, devised performance and group performance.  

Four GCSEs at grade 3

 

There are no external examinations and you will be assessed through a series of assignment briefs and projects carried out throughout the year. It is important for you to manage your time effectively in order to submit your work by the deadlines set.

You will go on a number of field trips and excursions such as theatre visits and trips in order to contextualise and support your learning and development. 

 

You will rehearse and perform in our very own 100 seat theatre, drama studios and mirrored dance studio. We are also located on the doorstep of the Lights Theatre which plays host to numerous productions
