What will I learn?

The Paediatric First Aid course is a mandatory requirement for teachers of early years and anyone working towards an NVQ in childcare, education or nursery workers. The course covers the basics of first aid but with the emphasis on younger children under the age of eight and the correct way to deal with them. This course is suited for those workplaces that revolve around the care of children and have a legal requirement to ensure that there are Paediatric First Aiders in the workplace. This course also meets Ofsted requirements for registered child minders and the requirements for nannies under the approved carer’s scheme.

This course is a mix of theory and practical and is run by trained emergency service personnel. Each delegate will receive a first aid manual, certification and registration as well as gaining the knowledge and confidence to become a competent paediatric first aider.
