The NCFE Early Years Practitioner- Level 2 Diploma course will suit those interested in working with children. Work experience is a key element to the course, and you will have the opportunity to work in a pre-school, school or day nursery allowing you to put the theory into practice. 

Work placement is an essential part of the course and must be attended 

Four GCSEs at grade 3 or above, including English and Maths.

  • Promoting positive behaviour 
  • The Role and responsibility of the  Early Years Practitioner 
  • Supporting well-being for healthy lifestyles 
  • Planning and delivery of activities for educational programmes

You will have the opportunity to work alongside professionals in work placement two days a week, starting as soon as youre clear DBS has arrived.  

 

You will cover 14 units related to all aspects of Early Years education and care. You have to pass each unit and placement  to achieve the the Diploma 

 

  • Level 3 Certificate in Childcare and Education (1 year course) equivalent to 3 AS grades 
  • Level 3 Technical Diploma in Childcare and Education EYE 2nd year Equivalent to 3 A level grades and professional licence to practice 
  • Level 3 Apprenticeship 

You will be taught in our Andover Sixth building and will have access to many different facilities, including: 2 study centres, a Library, A canteen and the Careers Hub.
