Five GCSEs at grade 9–4 and an audition. Some prior knowledge of music theory is an advantage.
This full time Music Performance course is for students who want to live and breathe music every day. Including everything you would learn on the Certificate and Subsidiary Diploma, there is an extra emphasis on performing, song writing and the music industry from a business perspective. Musicians on the full time course are required to perform more frequently and often go on to form bands and projects outside of college. If it is your dream to one-day work in the music industry, then the full time music BTEC should be your first step. The course is led by experienced music lecturers, that are both working at the highest levels within the music industry.
