*Between the 29th of June and 12th of July first year A Level students will need to undertake work experience
In both A Level years, you will study two modules of Pure and one of Applied Mathematics.
Pure Maths includes:
- Coordinate geometry
- Numerical methods
Applied Maths provides a choice between:
- Mechanics: forces, energy, motion, kinematics, projectiles, and mathematical modelling
- Decision Maths: networks, algorithms, graph theory, sorting and linear programming
- Statistics: probability, data handling, probability distributions, estimation, correlation and regression
What grades will I need?
Six GCSEs at A*-C/9-4 (including a B/6 or above in Maths)
BTEC Level 2 qualifications considered in subject related courses
