What will I learn?
The course offers a balance of IT and business skills which allow a practical understanding of how industry works, whilst supported by IT. In addition to technical skills, such as website and multi-media development, you will also develop the ability to communicate and present yourself effectively within this industry. We offer the most up-to-date software, preparing you for the requirements of the workplace.
Year One of this course is the BTEC Level 3 Certificate in Information Technology (equivalent to an AS Level).
Year Two of this course is the BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Information Technology (equivalent to an A Level).
You will need to be committed in producing work to a high standard and developing strong computer and problem solving skills, as well as be willing to show evidence of an interest in the IT/ computing business. You will be expected to work independently outside of class and use different techniques to produce assignment work.

Microsoft and CISCO Approved
We are a Microsoft and CISCO approved academy, allowing you to access to the most up-to-date software, within college or at home. An emphasis on business skills gives you a broad skills set. Assessment of work will take place through a variety of differing ways such as video, verbal, practical exercise and presentations.
What grades will I need?
Five GCSEs at A*-C/9-4 (including Maths and English) or a Merit at a relevant Level 2 BTEC Diploma
How will I be assessed?
Coursework and final assessment.
