T Levels have been introduced to best prepare learners who would like to pursue a career in finance and are looking for a course where they are able to gain valuable work experience alongside achieving a qualification that can lead to entry to university, an apprenticeship or the work place.

Over the duration of the two-year course, you will learn the knowledge and skills required to work in finance. Alongside this, you will undertake a work placement to help develop your understanding of working in finance.

This is an exciting course that balances classroom based learning, work placement and access to excellent facilities so that our learners have all the opportunities they need to progress into a career in finance.

Five GCSEs at grade 9-4, including English and Maths.

Over the duration of the course you will cover:

  • The business environment:
  • Fundamentals of financial accounting
  • Professionalism and ethics
  • Innovation and decision making

Assessment will come in different forms. In some instances, you will undertake exams to test core skills whilst practical skills test will help assess your occupational specialism. With T-levels, your work placement employer will also help by ensuring you cover key areas within your placement which will help prepare you for assessments.

The T-level helps prepare learners to enter the industry through employment or as an apprentice. It also gives learners the opportunity to progress to higher education courses and training. Whilst the T-level specialises in retail and commercial banking there is scope to progress into other areas of business.

The T-level qualification provides ample opportunities to experience different work settings through the industry work placement element of the course.
