The Digital Production, Design and Development T Level provides a wide ranging course that allows you to develop the knowledge and skills required in a fast changing sector. The units covered will allow you to design, implement and test software whilst understanding how to maintain and support it once in place.  

 The course will also explore collaborative technologies that allow for better communication, collaboration and co-operation. You will gain a detailed knowledge of algorithms to help you understand how to solve problems by creating innovative solutions. The course will also extend your knowledge of cyber security and the challenges posed by this evolving area.  

A key component of the T Level course is the work placement element. This will give you scope to work in different settings that will help you understand the sector and develop your specialisms.  

Five GCSEs at grade 9-4, including English and Maths.

  • Digital Analysis  
  • Digital Environments  
  • Learning – AI and AR 
  • Security including threats and vulnerabilities  

 

Assessment will come in different forms. In some instances, you will undertake exams to test core skills whilst practical skills test will help assess your occupational specialismWith T-levels, your work placement employer will also help by ensuring you cover key areas within your placement which will help prepare you for assessments.  

 

The T-level helps prepare learners to enter the industry through employment or as an apprentice. It also gives learners the opportunity to progress to higher education courses and training. Whilst the T-level focuses on a particular area of the digital world, the T-level provides you with scope to progress in to other aspects of this fast growing sector.  

 

The T-level qualification provides ample opportunities to experience different work settings through the industry work placement element of the course. 

 

The College has heavily invested into its digital resources allowing learners to access high performing computers and other devices. There is ongoing investment into virtual reality. The College has its own computing laboratory allowing learners to explore areas such as cyber security.
