What will I learn?
This course gives you an exciting opportunity to explore a wide range of 2D and 3D materials and processes, to develop your own visual language and style of presentation and to be introduced to new ways of working. It is vital that you are open minded and have a willingness to learn and be taught.
You will be assessed at the end of each unit and graded as pass, merit or distinction. There will be a studio charge for the use of materials and equipment.

• The work of other artists and designers
• Professional practice in art and design
• Optional GCSE Graphics & GCSE Photography
You will go on a number of field trips and excursions including opportunities to study works of art through visits to galleries.
Four GCSEs at D/3.
How will I be assessed?
Coursework and final assessment.
BTEC Level 3 Art and Design (you will need to get a minimum of a merit to progress).
Careers in graphics, illustration, fashion design and product design are amongst the many possible career paths that students can investigate after further study.
