Andover College students sprinkle festive cheer with their Peter Pan Pantomime

Students across Andover College’s Performing and Creative Departments recently excelled with their Christmas Pantomime of Peter Pan at The Lights Theatre. The production engaged parents, staff and members of the public, providing the audience with plentiful Christmas cheer this December and students with the opportunity to showcase their talent and skills in a professional setting.

The Pantomime called on students from multiple course areas to fulfil the vast brief that made up the show’s production. Extensive rehearsal sessions were held for Performing Arts, Music and Dance students, whilst Hair and Media students created and finessed the look of each character. Stage Management students expertly controlled the set design, lighting and sound for each of the three shows.

Head of Performing Arts, Rob Collier said: “The pantomime is an important part of the Christmas tradition at Andover College and is a great way to start the Christmas period with some festive cheer.”

Rob continued: “The pantomime provides huge opportunities for various departments to get together and work in a collaborative way. It’s also a great opportunity for the students to gain a strong understanding of the environment that they would experience in the industry. Our talented students all pulled together to produce a top, professionally-presented panto, they should all be very pleased with the show and their talents and commitment!”
