Places Available on Krakow Trip In February 2016

We are running a cross-College trip to Krakow, Poland in February 2016. The trip is open to students returning for their second year of study from September 2015. The trip has been organised purposefully to visit the Auschwitz Concentration Camp, which is a great opportunity for any student studying equality and diversity policies, racial discrimination, business, politics and/or art/propaganda imagery in their respective courses.

This will be the third year that the Krakow trip has been run, with students describing previous trips as ’emotional’ and an ‘experience to remember’. This will also be the last time the department runs the Krakow trip for the foreseeable future so it is an opportunity not to be missed.

Krakow, Poland:

The total cost of the trip is £375.00, with the trip taking place between Monday 8th – Thursday 11th February 2016. The cost includes:

  • Return flights between London and Krakow
  • Return airport transfers
  • 4 days / 3 nights in Krakow on a B&B basis at Hotel Wyspianski
  • Full day at Auschwitz Concentration Camps – entrance fee, guide and coach transport
  • Schindler’s Trail / Jewish Ghettos – including guide and coach
  • Entrance to Schindler’s Factory
  • 24 hour emergency assistance

There will also be opportunities to visit other areas within Krakow as a group.

A non-refundable deposit of £100.00 is needed to secure your son/daughter’s place on the trip, which needs to be paid by Thursday 25th June 2015. This deposit will be deducted from the total cost of the trip, leaving £275.00 left to be paid by Friday 6th November 2015. Payment can be made via the Andover College online store.

Please note: If you wish to attend the trip, you will need a valid passport with an expiry date being no earlier than 11th September 2016. Should your passport expire before this date then you will need to renew your passport.

You will need to print a colour photocopy or scan or your passport and hand it to one of the relevant members of staff (Kelda Fiske or Graeme Rowe). This information is needed to book your flights, and is also available on the off-chance that you lose your passport while we are away.

If you have any queries regarding either trip, then please do not hesitate to contact either of us.
