Student Services

One of our main aims as a college is for you to enjoy your time with us. We believe happy, confident students learn better than stressed or worried ones.

Our aim is to raise both the aspirations and achievements of our students and that means providing you with a high quality education and all the support you may need to learn as successfully as you can. Much of this support is provided by staff outside as well as within the classroom.

Support covers a wide range of information, advice and guidance on personal matters and any aspect of your life in college. Help is available at any time, and if we can’t help we can put you in touch with someone who can. We can also support you in your dealings with other organisations in areas such as health, housing and finance. The College has a counsellor who you may talk to in complete confidence.

The first port of call is to drop into the main reception desk or email info@andover.ac.uk

Careers advice

In addition to a careers library (stocked with information on local as well as national employers and university courses) we have regular careers fairs, a careers adviser and Connexions Personal Advisers on hand to answer your questions and help you plan for your future. Whether you fancy a Gap Year, need some help with job hunting and CV writing or would like guiding through your UCAS paperwork, our careers advice service is there to help you.

Student mentors

A number of students studying A2, BTEC National Diploma and BTEC National Awards are trained and appointed as Subject Specific Mentors. The Mentors are there to support and encourage first year students and will use their experience in a positive way to enable students to reach their full potential within a subject area.

Text-in

Text-in is our college messaging service. If there are timetable changes, events or news we’d like you or your parents to know about, we’ll text your mobiles. You can also text us 07624 803660.
